My role the Director of Commercial Research encompassed developing customised research solutions and outputs in response to various commercial and government tenders as well as writing in-depth proposals and securing various qualitative and quantitative research contracts. As a Project Director, I completed a range of customised qualitative and quantitative investigations for government and non-government clients. Working collaboratively with a small team, I provided a complete end-to-end commercial research experience from tendering for projects to research design, data collection, reporting and presentation.

Australian Housing & Research Institute 2002 - 2004
My role in this research institute involved managing up to 60 internal and external investigations worth more than $4 million, encouraging and facilitating the use of AHURI’s research in the development of government policy as well as managing all internal review and assessment processes such as AHURI’s annual funding for researchers. As the Assistant Research Director, I was responsible for day-to-day project management and issue resolution of contracted research. I also liaised and consulted with academic and government staff to support the creation of policy-relevant research evidence.

The Tertiary Entrance Procedures Authority at Education Queensland provided evidence-based policy advice in relation to post-compulsory education issues.
